The Iguazú Municipal Tourist Entity is a mixed organization where both the private and public sectors are involved in Iguazú tourist activities. This entity is in charge of enforcing tourist policies passed at the Town Hall.
Both sectors act in a coordinated fashion establishing joint planning and enforcement procedures and managing institutional strenghthening by carrying out a training program of both sectors. A scientific knowledge base is created as regards the quality and quantity of the services offered.
The purpose of the E.M.TUR.I is to foster and increase tourism as a source of income, a generator of job positions and a means to make society become aware of the importance of tourism as regards life quality, economic growth and the preservation of natural heritage.
